Overall, collecting should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. You may have a collection started already and just never looked at it as a collection. If you have only ONE piece, you have the START of a collection! Go through your drawers and filing cabinets, bookshelves, etc., and begin sorting things out. You may be surprised at what's there! Keep an eye out at all times for holograms and articles, books, magazines, etc. Believe it or not, I found a matted and framed, 30 x 40cm pulsed-reflection hologram of a black panther put out in someones trash. It lit up as I was walking by. I kept walking thinking, "Nah". But I turned around and went back, and I'm glad I did!

In the next section, we will be focusing on embossed hologram collecting. Embossed holograms are probably the least expensive way to get your collection up and running (other than paper-based ephemera). In fact, we'll take a look at how you can get your collection started for free!
