What is the Voyage to the Moon?

It is a 3D photo adventure in space. The NEW 3D Moon Voyage MPO Download is a set of 16 3D photos from the NASA Apollo mission archives. These historical photos have been assembled and combined by holographer Frank DeFreitas (me) into 3D image files compatible with the Nintendo 3DS hand-held system. They also work with the Fuji Real 3D and the SONY PS3 systems (MPO format).

Through amazing full-color 3D photos, you'll travel through space as you go from the Earth to the Moon. You'll look down on clouds casting shadows on the Earth; see a powerful storm from space; stand at the very edge of a deep crater; and see vast open vistas of the rocky lunar surface. All in 3D, right before your eyes, on your Nintendo 3DS hand-held device.

Voyage to the Moon will bring you as close as ever-before possible to experiencing what it was like to actually be on the lunar surface.

Also included is my new, award-winning 3D Moon MPO file (version 2.0). This 3D moon was created by combining two photographs separated by over 150 years in time: the LEFT eye image is from a 19th century (1860's) moon photo by Prof. Henry Draper, taken at his private astronomical observatory in Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y. The RIGHT eye view is from a telescopic photo session in my own backyard, during the full moon (supermoon) of 19 March 2011. Together, they show a 3D round moon sphere floating at the surface of your Nintendo screen.
